Our Why

Society is in a funny place at the minute

It’s changing rapidly

But as a result of this… we have noticed one massive shift in our generation, for fellas in particular

That is, that it has simply never before been as easy to feel lost, isolated and directionless than it can be today…

And this is something we can definitely relate to, it’s a shit feeling, there’s no doubt about it

The new norm is feeling as if you’re not “good enough”, or just thinking that you should have it all worked out

To make matters worse, the fear of looking weak, vulnerable or less of a man makes talking about how we truly feel a no-go for many

For us, we lacked the genuine support of having positive male role models early on in life

And navigating life by yourself can be a scary thought

Looking back, we realised, that on some level, what we were looking for we found in the team environment of sport

We found people that we could depend on, people that would hold us accountable and give us a little more direction on our own journeys

The sense of community, comradery, and trust we built was invaluable to us

But sometimes the positive values of team sports can stop once you leave the pitch

We wanted to create something positive that would support you, both on and off the field

And this is really where we came up with The Kaizen Academy

Our aim is to create the support network that we always wanted, but could never seem to find
